Silver Tomoe Pendants

The Shinto Tomoe symbol is a spiral design closely related to the Yin-Yang symbol, the circular turning design is a reference to the motion of the earth. Tomoe represents the play of forces in the cosmos of heaven and earth, thunder and cloud, fire and water, and universal creation. The tomoe is considered to be the shape of the human soul and foetus. From that idea the spiral of heaven, earth and humanity — mitsudomoe (the three comma design) was created.

The silver pendants created by Yvonne Chadderton FGA are very simple in design, some are more yin than yang, some more black than white, some more positive than negative, some more shiny than matt. You can choose which aspect of the design connects with your persona.
